Franz Harewood‑Hamblin is a Barbadian social worker, youth advocate, and the founder of Empower Youth International (EYI), a registered charity dedicated to supporting at‑risk youth ages 12–17. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, and a Master’s Degree in International Development from the University of Birmingham in England.
Her academic training and professional experience have shaped a career focused on community development, youth empowerment, and social transformation. Franz has served in roles such as Programme Assistant at the University of the West Indies: Cave Hill and has volunteered extensively with organizations supporting families and vulnerable youth.
Through EYI, she continues to champion opportunities for young people to thrive, guided by her commitment to education, personal development, and social impact.
