Mission Statement: “The purpose of the Teen Leadership Programme is to seek, prepare and develop the potential of young leaders from diverse backgrounds and instill within them a commitment to responsible involvement in community, nation and beyond.”
EYI’s Teen Leadership Programme (TLP) is an intensive after school programme designed to support and empower young change-makers to make a difference in the world through their leadership skills. The primary purpose of TLP is to develop leadership potential, foster civic awareness, and promote responsible volunteerism among teens. Teenagers ages 12-19 enrolled in TLP are provided with the opportunity to gain a greater knowledge about their community, develop strong leadership skills and gain more self and social awareness. Participants engage in sessions such as public speaking, entrepreneurship training, community service and much more. In addition to class sessions, students work in teams to develop small group projects that address and benefit a specific community need.
